Pu Er
No.8 tea in China, Pu Er, grows in Yunnan Province. Tea merchandisers assemble tea leaves harvested in many small counties, and process them in Pu Er County, that is how the tea got the name Pu Er. It has 1,700 year’s history. Century ago, Tea merchandisers started to compress the tea leaves into dried cakes form, generally called brick tea, and then these teacakes were carried to different parts of China by horses. On the long way, the teacakes were continuing the fermentation, became more flavored when arrived the destination. Pu Er is widespread in south China, Southeast Asia and Japan. It is proved to have many benefits for health, such as helping lose weight and decreasing blood pressure.
