Longjing (Dragon Well) Village
Longjing Wen Cha, (Enjoying Tea at Dragon Well) is one of the Ten Most Famous Scenic Spots at West Lake). It’s said when it was Three kingdoms (220-280 AD); the King of Wu kingdom had come besides a well here preying for the rain. In ancient China, dragon was always meant powerful people. So that’s why the name of Dragon Well comes out.
Up to northern Song Dynasty, Longjing area began to prosperous. Many poets, writers gathered here discussing and debating while having the fragrant tea. Then emperor Qianlong in Tang Dynasty (618 to 907 AD) had also come here to appreciate the famous tea.
Its unique scenery and its deep history have drawn many visitors here.
