Honey Lotus Root Stuffed with Glutinous Rice
Another dessert made from lotus root with glutinous rice, sweet osmanthus and honey. It’s sweet, sticky and has the fresh scent of lotus and osmanthus.
The recipe is very simple, you can try to make it at your home. First immerse glutinous rice into water for about 1 hour; second, cut the head off the lotus root, stuff the rice into its holes, and put the root’s head back, fix it with toothpick; third, put the stuffed lotus root in the boiler, pour in enough water, boil it with medium fire for about 1 hour; at last, take the soft lotus root out and leave it cool, cut it into slices and sprinkle some sweet osmanthus and honey before eating.
