Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month in the lunar year in the Chinese calendar. It is not to be confused with the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is also sometimes known as the "Lantern Festival" in locations such as Singapore, and Malaysia. During the Lantern Festival, children go out at night to temples carrying rabbit-shaped lanterns and solve riddles on the lanterns. We eat Yuan Xiao (also called Tang Yuan, a dessert made from glutinous rice flour) in that day, It marks the end of Chinese New year. In Hangzhou, the Lantern Festival is a big event each year. Every district administration and big communities would organize festival celebration activities for citizens. Those big lanterns in the streets are really eye-catching.

Citizen Activity
Hangzhou attracts so many people from all around the country, even the world to settle here, which brings many talents and cultural diversity to the city. As a movie saying, there are crouching tigers and hidden dragons on the streets. So the administrations or associations always hold different kinds of activities, give opportunities let these people gather together, meet friends, and show their talents, such as Martial Arts Meeting, Traditional Arts & Collection Communication, Opera Show, etc.

Daily Life
Hangzhou has this kind of temperament, let its citizens slow down, and live more peacefully, maybe that is because West Lake is the city center, beautiful nature close for us to touch, why not avoid the city’s hubbub and enjoy our lives! So unlike Shanghai, people here are living a leisure life. Work is very important, but off work is more.
Community (Dongshan Lane for example)
Dongshan Lane is a big and quiet community, located in a tranquil area, within walk distance to the West Lake, near to many attractions. It got the name since Song Dynasty, had many historic stories. Dongshan Lane now covers an area of 1.8 square kilometers, has more than 7500 residents, with mature community functions and facilities.
